RECOLLECTIONS, IMPRESSIONS AND PICTURES FROM SEDONA 2004

We lived in a five-dome structure in a Healing Center of Arizona, facing a magnificent red-rock mountain. Some of us slept in a spacious round room with elevated cathedral ceiling, some of us had private rooms. After a varied and active day schedule we needed a special healing space for deep rest. In the meditation room we had some classes all together, but everybody also had there own private meditation time, and the environment of this room was spiritually supportive, as its altar was honoring different spiritual traditions and the energy was rich and healing.

Those were three days, when we gave ourselves time to become the alchemists. The Inner Healer is always the alchemist, who develops awareness and sensitivity to the subtle realms that escape most people, who knows how to use the energy of consciousness, of awareness to change the subtle inner substances that we are composed of, and this will lead to quite observable core transformations.

Our goal was to bring every participant to an appreciation of their inner healer, to realization of their divine right to be healthy, in perfect balance and have innate power to restore this balance on all levels of the existence. So, it was delightful to start every morning with awakening practices of QiGong (Ancient Tao-In practice of 8 Immortals, Zhong Yuan QiGong, Osteopathic series, Taoist meditations) and Yoga (Affinity, Hatha, Kundalini, Pranayama), allowing us to explore our physical bodies and energy bodies. Later after healthy breakfast, we continued to explore our energy bodies, the meridians and the charkas, through short lectures and special exercises-inner explorations.

We paid detailed attention to our senses, and get way beyond 5 main known, we got to inner (yin) senses and outer (yang), third eye, third ear, second heart. Our meals were beneficial, cleansing and strengthening, dedicated to the two main organs of the day. Say, on the Kidneys-day we ate water-melon, cucumbers and parsley. On the Lung-day we were emphasizing cabbage, carrots, pears, tangerines, fish.

We became aware of our emotional and mental bodies and practiced the art of letting go: releasing old trauma, old images of ourselves and all preconceptions. We helped each other in doing it. The atmosphere was safe and supportive. We all turned into babies - open faces, joyful hearts, ready to laugh and cry in a moment.

Nature walks in the red country were punctuated with frequent surprise stops. The tiniest flowers or a cactus displaying other newly opened buds caught all of our participants-traveling from various states to these new found joys. Our agenda called for surrendering to the senses, being open to the inner-energy receiving the Sedona vortices, and reminding each other of a spontaneity that always exists within the core of the energy body. To anchor into the unknown, we first appreciate that which we know we have, and then move like children into the vastness.

Sedona has both a vastness and a containment. The strength of the views are both far and near, so that you are encouraged to commit the senses and allow them to open the heart field. You can feel the containment, yet invest in the vastness, safely.

This is the un-goaling of our workshops. There are the wisdom teachings of the ancients, but there is always the parallel or circuitous path that is your own, so you are not only a follower. We sense that participants, as their own Gurus, their own dispellers of darkness (illusions), love to play the edge of self awareness as co-creators. The Goddess/God has more respect, or is more willing to delegate co-authority if it is for the highest good of all.

As we see participants feel "worthy" of full participation in "earthcare," we see them change the agenda of our healing circles to meet Their needs, change the amount of time spent in exploration of a new group theme, or increase "down-time" in order to absorb and revolutionize new possibilities.

To know we are all worthy of the highest joys the multiverse has to offer, is one of the joys in sharing with workshop participants. Wherever we miss in life, or connect right on, we will come into a balance and enjoy the views.

Hi ALL: I am happy to give a few words about the workshop and here we go:

Since I had never been to Sedona, it was all new to me. I thought it's a beautiful, powerful part of the country. The contrast between the Earth, the color of the sky and the dead trees is what I remember the most. It is truly a photographers paradise. And I still think about it. I trusted the Universe and the idea that I am cared for. I relearned the importance of paying attention to my innerself, not worrying about small things and focusing on the here and now in an unattached way. A great experience!

And there it is ... a bundle of love your way ... always a fan, Trudy

The Red Rocks of Sedona with it's magical energy was a powerful environment for this experiential workshop. Working in the natural confines of Sedona's beauty opened spiritual insights that will be of benefit in the times ahead. An incredible journey.

Lydia and Ashley's openness and comfortable style of teaching was very conducive to the visible transformations in spirit and understanding I observed in the seminar attendees. What a joy to behold and experience.

With Love, Duane
